Target Oxbridge, a free scheme which aims to help students of black and mixed African and Caribbean heritage improve their chances of getting into Oxford or Cambridge, has launched for its new programme for 2019-20.

The programme is open to high-achieving Year 12 – and in some cases, Year 13 – students in the UK, ideally those who have achieved at least 5 grades at A * or 7-9 at GCSE (8-9 if planning to study medicine).

It will provide advice and guidance on UCAS applications, choosing which university and subjects to apply for and interview techniques, as well as providing trips to Oxford and Cambridge, opportunities to meet current students and Oxbridge academics, and one-on-one mentoring.

The deadline for applications for the programme is Sunday 28 October. Those interested can find out more at www.targetoxbridge.co.uk.
